Sads and Paul run Saltash Half Marathon

ARGYLE coach Adam Sadler and physio Paul Atkinson will be running in the Saltash Half Marathon on Sunday, May 1 in aid of the Staff Fund.

Staff at Home Park have not been paid since January 26 and only this week, some were reported to be at breaking-point as their finances have become increasingly stretched over the past few months.

The Staff Fund has been setup by supporters group the Green Taverners to provide financial support to those members of Argyle staff who have fallen particularly hard times.

Sads and Paul have been in training with the Tamar Trotters running club over the past few months and whilst Adam hopes to complete the hilly course in under two hours, Paul will just be happy to get round in one piece.

Adam said: “I’m a goalie by trade so I’ve never been the best at running.

“I thought this was a great chance to raise some money for the staff because things have started to become really tight for some of the lower paid guys.

“I have to say that the Trotters have been great in helping us prepare.”
